Sales closed at just above their list price on average last week, after sitting on the market for 46 days. Not so coincidentally, 46 days is almost exactly the average age of the 56 single-family homes currently for sale in Redwood City.
In a market where there's no guarantee that your home will sell after 2 weekends of open houses (as had generally been the case the past few years), it is important to do everything you can to make sure your home shows well. Staging a home, painting, installing new lights, new vanities - these are all relatively inexpensive measures that can be taken to make your home stand out when buyers aren't exactly busting the door down. You want to make sure that when you do get a showing, you make it count.
