Inventory can't seem to break the 40 mark - we've been hovering just under it for the past few weeks now. Demand is just too persistent for inventory to gain any significant momentum. For instance, this past week was great for new listings (16), but the 14 homes that went into contract served to maintain the status quo. Homes that are listed in the $1M - $1.5M range don't typically make it to a second weekend of open houses, as there is so much demand in that price range that listing agents are fielding numerous offer inquiries right off the bat.
