As expected, the Labor Day weekend saw inventory tighten up. We dropped 10 listings this past week - from 60 down to 50. This is the lowest our supply of homes for sale has been since the beginning on April, when inventory had finally started to pick up after an extremely tight winter season.
Last year the inventory that was lost over the Labor Day weekend was regained the following week, before plateauing around the mid-50's through November. With homes selling at a much slower pace this year, inventory should bounce back fairly easily in the coming weeks.
