This past week was the last chance this year for sellers to list a home for sale and have 2 consecutive weekends of open houses uninterrupted by holidays. This is probably the main reason we saw 11 new homes listed for sale last week, and why we won't see that many new listings in a week again until after New Years.
Meanwhile, we appear to be closing out the year with strong sales numbers. Over the last two weeks, sales in Redwood City have closed at an average of $1,078 per square foot and over 10% above the list price.
