With Thanksgiving week officially upon us, it's not a surprise to see inventory take such a big hit, dropping from 49 homes for sale all the way down to 32. Thanksgiving weekend is essentially a dead weekend for open houses, so many Realtors have likely timed their listings to take offers prior to Thursday - as it would be ineffective to try to host another round of open houses this weekend.
We'll probably see inventory drop into the 20's this week, as there will be minimal, if any, new homes listed for sale. While we might see a small surge in new listings the next week or two, with Christmas right around the corner, I wouldn't expect to see any significant recovery in inventory until next year.
