Highlighting last week's list of closed sales in Redwood City is 76 Nevada Street - a 4BD/4.5 BA, 3,101 S/F home on a 9,101 S/F lot which sold for $3,250,000. While $3 million + sales
have become increasingly common in Redwood City (11 in the past year), this
marks the first such sale in the Mt. Carmel neighborhood, which despite being
one of Redwood City’s most desirable neighborhoods, it isn’t generally known
for larger “luxury” real estate. It is sought after for it's great walkability, tree-lined streets, close-knit communities, and proximity to downtown, but it's homes are typically much more modest in size than in many parts of Emerald Hills or Edgewood Park, where the vast majority of $3 million+ sales are concentrated in RWC. This home however, was an ultra-modern rebuild with larger home and lot square footage than is typical for the Mt. Carmel neighborhood.
Needless to say, this sale skewed our weekly numbers - especially since there were only 3 other closed sales this week.
